Ms. Sahar Aldurobi worked for the Minister of Defense following the U.S.-led coalition intervention in Iraq, while her husband worked as an engineer and contractor for an American construction company. Due to their job affiliations with the United States, insurgent groups threatened Ms. Aldurobi and her family, and attempted to kidnap their eldest son. Ms. Aldurobi was resettled to Oklahoma City in 2009, where she currently lives with her husband, two sons, and daughter. Ms. Aldurobi now serves as a Case Worker in the resettlement agency Catholic Charities. She is most proud of contributing to her community by participating in a local TV interview about refugees and resettlement processes with her husband.
