New Chapter, Same Story
Founded in 2019 by longtime Refugee Congress member and Honorary Delegate Basma Alawee, WeaveTales spent years training hundreds of immigrants to share their stories with power and purpose. That mission hasn't changed — it's grown.
By merging with Refugee Congress, WeaveTales' storytelling programs will continue to expand, deepen our advocacy, and elevate New American voices at every level — from local communities to national policy stages.
