Hilary Binder-Aviles is Refugee Congress’ Organization Development Consultant. She has been consulting with Refugee Congress since 2014, when she was brought on to help the founding members build the foundation for a new national refugee- and asylee-led organization.

Since then, she has continued to support Refugee Congress in all aspects of organizational development and capacity building, including working with the Board, Committees and staff to develop policies, systems and structures to grow and sustain the work.

Hilary brings to Refugee Congress more than 30 years of experience working with national and local nonprofit organizations and coalitions, with a focus on building capacity to engage in advocacy, organizing and other systems-change work. In her free time, Hilary loves to dance around her living room, mostly to salsa, cumbia, merengue and other forms of Latin Music.
