Gedeon Bahemuka Jino
Gedeon Bahemuka Jino is a Refugee Congress Honorary Delegate from Kansas. He was born and grew up in a village called Mandro, located in Djugu Territory, Ituri Province, in the northeast of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Gedeon works at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Kansas, where he provides services to refugees. He also volunteers as an assistant pastor at a local church called House of Glory for All Nations.
Gedeon has a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s in public health, as well as a certification in biblical theology. He is married to Francine Pachu Zalu and has four kids: two boys and two girls. They were refugees in Rwanda for fifteen years and were resettled in Kansas in 2018. In his free time, Jino delights in entertaining friends.
