Jagat Acharya
Jagat Acharya is a recently-resettled refugee who was forced to flee Bhutan when his family was targeted by the Bhutanese police.
Jagat came to the United States in 2010 and currently lives in St. Louis, Missouri, where he is a program coordinator at Bilingual International Assistant Services.
Jagat earned a Master’s Degree in social work from Washington University’s George Warren Brown School of Social Work in St. Louis. He is most proud of contributing to his community by starting a language class for immigrant children.
