Ally Ntumba is the Refugee Congress Delegate for Indiana. He was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and arrived in the United States in 2013 after fleeing conflicts and civil war.

Ally has more than ten years of experience working with nonprofits and youth organizations, especially in the areas of human rights, peace initiatives and conflict resolution. He currently works as an Employment Specialist at Exodus Refugee Immigration Services, a nonprofit that provides support to refugees. Before joining Exodus, he served as an AmeriCorps volunteer in the Immigration and Refugee Service (IRSC). He is also an active member of the Congo Community and co-founder of Congo American Bridge, a nonprofit organization based in Indiana.

Before coming to the U.S., Ally co-founded many youth organizations and networks in the eastern part of Congo and served as the Executive Director of Ligue des Jeanes Grands Lacs (Great Lakes Youth League), a position that allowed him to work closely with youth in Burundi, DRC, Rwanda and Uganda. He also worked as a journalist with local newspapers and was active in radio and television broadcasting.

Ally has a bachelor’s degree in economics and management and is currently working towards an MBA in nonprofit organization and entrepreneurship from City Vision University. He loves basketball and is an avid Pacers fan. In his free time, Ally also enjoys following the news, especially business and market news, and spending time with his kids.
