Teddi Jallow is a former refugee from The Gambia who resettled in Rhode Island in 2009. She serves as the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Refugee Dream Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering refugees through direct services, advocacy, and post-resettlement support.

As a passionate community advocate, she focuses on issues affecting refugees and immigrants, both locally and globally. She proudly represents the Refugee Dream Center at a state, national, and international level, lending her voice to advocacy efforts on behalf of displaced communities worldwide.

She is a proud alumna of the Rhode Island Foundation’s inaugural Equity Leadership Initiative and the Institute for Nonprofit Practice’s inaugural Black Leadership Institute. As an organizational leader, she has also had the opportunity to mentor and train others in community-based and nonprofit settings.

The Refugee Dream Center supports refugees by filling service gaps, helping them become self-sufficient, and advocating for their rights.
