From coast to coast, Refugee Congress Delegates are celebrating World Refugee Day, honoring the joy, the resilience and the countless ways in which refugees enrich our communities – as friends, as neighbors, as colleagues, and as leaders.

Across the world, we are watching the largest global displacement crisis in history unfold. As an organization built and led by refugees, we honor World Refugee Day by reaffirming our commitment to advocating for refugee-led solutions – from local to global - that are welcoming and inclusive.

This year Refugee Congress Delegates are part of more than 15 World Refugee Day events across the United States between June 17th and June 24th.

World Refugee Day is an international day designated by the United Nations on June 20th of every year to honor refugees around the globe. This yearly recognition celebrates the strength and courage of people forced to flee their home country to escape conflict or persecution.
