Paul Mwingwa
Delegate for Montana
Democratic Republic of the Congo
Paul Mwingwa is the Refugee Congress Delegate for Montana. Originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, he resettled in the United States in 2018.
As a refugee, Paul always believed that one day he would be able to rewrite the story of his life—that the hardships he endured would eventually lead to success. Today, he works as a Caseworker Assistant at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Missoula. He also serves as a Swahili language instructor and private contractor at the Lifelong Learning Center in Missoula.
Paul holds an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Information Technology & Cybersecurity from the University of Montana, Missoula College, earned in May 2024, with a concentration in Network Administration and Security.
From 2014 to 2016, while living in Rwanda, Paul served as a Refugee Representative to the UNHCR.
In his free time, he enjoys hiking, walking along the river, and helping others succeed.
