Refugee Congress Welcomes Sohrab Sharghi and Felix Shipkevich to our Board of Directors

Refugee Congress is delighted to welcome two new members to our Board of Directors, Felix Shipkevich and Sohrab Sharghi.
With expertise across finance services, digital assets, blockchain, consumer goods, and nonprofit health, we are grateful to Felix and Sohrab for bringing their talents to help Refugee Congress through our next stage of growth and transformation.
Sohrab Sharghi is a Finance Executive with more than forty years of experience across several industries including Consumer Goods and Non-Profit Health organizations. A native of Iran, Sohrab left his country for India at age 17 to pursue a medical degree with the intention of practicing medicine in a developing country. Read more about Sohrab here.
Felix Shipkevich is the Principal and founder of Shipkevich PLLC, a New York-based law firm focused on financial regulary services, digital assets, blockchain, payments, and emerging digital currencies. Felix has worked with financial institutions, payment processors, money transmitters, and consumer finance companies, representing clients in regulatory and enforcement. Felix and his family arrived in the United States as a refugee in 1990 from Odessa, Ukraine, leaving behind friends and relatives to begin a new life in the Brighton Beach neighborhood in South Brooklyn, and remaining stateless for seven years before naturalizing as a US citizen.
