Abdul Hamid
Hamid is the Refugee Congress Delegate for Wisconsin. He is a resettled Rohingya refugee, originally from Burma. He has more than ten years of experience in running community-based organizations and is an activist and human defender. Read more about Hamid.
Emma Yaaka
Emma is the Refugee Congress Delegate for Illinois. He is originally from Uganda and spent 3 years in Kenya awaiting resettlement before coming to the U.S. He has significant experience in healthcare and is a passionate advocate for refugees, asylees, and immigrants. Read more about Emma.
Johan Alberto Trujillo Loaiza
Johan is the Refugee Congress Delegate for Arkansas. He is an asylee from Venezuela and arrived in the U.S. in 2019. Throughout his career, Johan has combined his talents in technology and workforce training with his commitment to serving those with disabilities, especially those with visual impairments and blindness. Jona is the Refugee Congress Delegate for West Virginia. He is a former refugee from Zimbabwe who has more than 16 years of experience as an educator. He is also actively involved in refugee and asylum advocacy. Read more about Jona.

Olive is the Refugee Congress Delegate for Oregon. She is a former refugee from Burundi. She has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in public health and seeks to reach underserved and vulnerable communities who do not have access to important healthcare information. Read more about Olive.

Rose is the Refugee Congress Delegate for Ohio. She is a former refugee from South Sudan and an accomplished scholar.
