Refugee Congress is excited to welcome 8 new Delegates, representing Arkansas, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Ohio, Oregon, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Hamid is the Refugee Congress Delegate for Wisconsin. He is a resettled Rohingya refugee, originally from Burma. He has more than ten years of experience in running community-based organizations and is an activist and human defender. Read more about Hamid.

Johan is the Refugee Congress Delegate for Arkansas. He is an asylee from Venezuela and arrived in the U.S. in 2019. Throughout his career, Johan has combined his talents in technology and workforce training with his commitment to serving those with disabilities, especially those with visual impairments and blindness.
